Dr. Shokhista Abdikhalilovna Islomova is a Senior Lecturer at the First Department of Histology and Medical Biology, Tashkent State Medical University. She is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Sciences, with extensive experience in medical research, pedagogy, and clinical practice. Her work focuses on medical genetics, histology, medical biology, and the implementation of scientific research into healthcare practice.

    • Focus: Evaluated the impact of pyrethroid pesticides during pregnancy on the postnatal development of the thyroid gland in offspring and developed practical recommendations for healthcare.

    • Gained extensive experience in healthcare provision, disease prevention, early diagnostics, and patient monitoring.

  • Led a student academic visit to South Korea in 2024 to study advanced medical technologies, clinical practices, and innovative teaching models.
  • Participated in international professional training in Medical Genetics at N.P. Bochkov Medical Genetic Research Center, Moscow, Russia (2024), gaining expertise in molecular genetics of hereditary diseases, modern laboratory diagnostics, genomic analysis, prenatal and neonatal screening, and personalized medicine.
