Biography
- 1993–1997 – Worked as a District Pediatrician at the 41st Family Polyclinic, providing primary healthcare services to children, conducting preventive examinations, monitoring child development, and delivering medical consultations and treatment within the community.
- 1997–2010 – Served as a Lecturer at the P.F. Borovsky Tashkent Medical College, where she/he was actively involved in teaching medical sciences, mentoring students, preparing educational materials, and contributing to the training of mid-level medical professionals.
- 2010–2019 – Head of the Department of Surgery at the P.F. Borovsky Tashkent Medical College. During this period, she/he supervised academic and clinical training processes, coordinated departmental activities, developed curricula, and ensured the quality of surgical education.
- 2018–2019 – Methodologist at the P.F. Borovsky Tashkent Medical College, responsible for improving teaching methodologies, developing academic programs, organizing educational documentation, and implementing modern pedagogical approaches.
- 2019–2024 – Assistant at the Department of Histology and Medical Biology, Tashkent Medical Academy. Responsibilities included conducting practical and lecture classes, guiding students in laboratory work, participating in research activities, and contributing to departmental academic development.
- 2024 – Present – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Histology and Medical Biology No. 1, Tashkent State Medical University. Currently engaged in delivering lectures and practical sessions, supervising student research, participating in curriculum development, and contributing to scientific and methodological work within the department.
Umarova Zulfiya Xosilovna is currently conducting doctoral research on the topic:
“Growth and Development of the Spleen in Offspring under the Influence of Pesticide Exposure on the Maternal Organism.”
Her scientific work focuses on studying the morphological and histological changes in the spleen during postnatal development, particularly under the impact of prenatal exposure to pesticides. The research aims to evaluate the effects of toxic environmental factors on the immune system formation and organogenesis in offspring.
In addition to her research activities, she serves as the person responsible for academic affairs at the Department of Histology and Medical Biology No. 1 at Tashkent State Medical University. In this role, she coordinates the educational process, oversees curriculum implementation, monitors teaching quality, and organizes academic documentation and methodological work within the department.
