Professional biography
Dr. Neelam Tahir was born on 2nd August 2000 in Punjab, Pakistan. From an early age, she demonstrated determination, discipline, and a strong inclination toward academic excellence. Her upbringing in Punjab shaped her resilience and commitment to personal and professional growth.
She completed her matriculation from Laureate School, where she was recognized as an active and engaged student. During her school years, she consistently participated in academic and extracurricular activities, reflecting her balanced and dynamic personality.
For her intermediate education, she attended Punjab College. There, she continued to excel academically, strengthening her foundation in the sciences and preparing herself for a future in medicine. Her dedication and focused approach during these formative years paved the way for her entry into medical school.
Dr. Neelam Tahir is a committed medical doctor and educator with a strong academic background and diversified clinical exposure. She completed her MBBS from Nishtar Medical University, where she received comprehensive training in core medical and surgical disciplines. In addition, she earned a BSc in English from University of the Punjab, strengthening her academic writing, communication, and teaching capabilities.
She has one year of clinical experience across multiple departments, including:
• Gynaecology and Obstetrics – Antenatal care, labour room assistance, postnatal management, and basic obstetric procedures.
• Pediatrics – Assessment and management of common pediatric conditions, growth monitoring, and neonatal care exposure.
• Internal Medicine – Evaluation and management of chronic and acute medical disorders, including diagnostic interpretation and patient counseling.
• Emergency Medicine – Initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and management of acute presentations.
• General Surgery – Pre-operative assessment, post-operative care, wound management, and assisting in minor procedures.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Neelam has six months of teaching experience in a nursing college, where she taught Basic Sciences, particularly Physiology and Biochemistry.
