Scientific direction of the department:
- “Study of the morphological bases of adaptive responses of the organs immune, digestive and excretory systems in postnatal ontogenesis at action ecotoxicological factors”
- “The study of the mechanism of action of toxicants in the neoplastic process and the ability to inhibit cellular transformation with new biologically active substances”
- “Cytogenetic and cytomorphological monitoring of action the pesticides on the body and ways of correction identified violations”.
The research results are published in various publications, including magazines, collections and works of reputable national and international scientific forums.

Starting from 2011 the Department organized a scientific club named “Young morphology”. Head of the club – assistant Makhmudova Sh.I. Over the past 4 years students have achieved success and numerous of them are-16 students of medical, medical- pedagogical and medico – prophylactic faculty. 12 students made presentations at student conferences and won prizes.
